Should I do a DTS?
DTS is an experience that will leave a lasting impact on your life. It has what we call two phases. One is the lecture phase which is 12 weeks and the other is a 10 week outreach phase.
“I loved learning how to do missions.” - DTS Student
Lecture Phase
The lecture phase has a lot happening as you pursue this journey of knowing God. Worship, prayer, small groups, one on one engagement with experienced leaders, fun, excitement, local missions, and classroom lectures are some of the things you will be part of. We have inspirational speakers and teachers come from all over the world who serve in missions and churches, giving you an incredible opportunity to learn as you grow with God. Topics include Character and Nature of God, Making Jesus Lord, Worship, Prayer and Intercession, Missions, Relationships, Spiritual Warfare and much more. With the excitement of everything in the lecture phase you also have time to reflect, grow and apply what God is developing in you. As you build friendships with others that can last a lifetime, the environment of a DTS helps you grow in your pursuit of God.
Outreach Phase
The outreach phase is another adventure of doing a DTS, as backpacks get filled up and you travel to your next destination. The DTS sends out teams to our mission locations to serve, preach, share, and communicate the Love of God in a variety of ways. The dynamic of serving in teams gives you not just an outreach experience, but it continues to help expand your understanding of Knowing God as you love the nations and peoples of the earth. The opportunities the outreach provides gives you the experience to understand your gifts, see God’s work in you, bless others, and learn to trust God in new ways while growing with the friends you make on the DTS.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Jesus
